1Nanak grasps the feet of those humble beings. ||3||

2The remembrance of God is the highest and most exalted of all.

3In the remembrance of God, many are saved.

4In the remembrance of God, thirst is quenched.

5In the remembrance of God, all things are known.

6In the remembrance of God, there is no fear of death.

7In the remembrance of God, hopes are fulfilled.

8In the remembrance of God, the filth of the mind is removed.

9The Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, is absorbed into the heart.

10God abides upon the tongues of His Saints.

11Nanak is the servant of the slave of His slaves. ||4||

12Those who remember God are wealthy.

13Those who remember God are honorable.

14Those who remember God are approved.

15Those who remember God are the most distinguished persons.

16Those who remember God are not lacking.

17Those who remember God are the rulers of all.

18Those who remember God dwell in peace.

19Those who remember God are immortal and eternal.

20They alone hold to the remembrance of Him, unto whom He Himself shows His Mercy.

21Nanak begs for the dust of their feet. ||5||

22Those who remember God generously help others.

23Those who remember God - to them, I am forever a sacrifice.

24Those who remember God - their faces are beautiful.

25Those who remember God abide in peace.

26Those who remember God conquer their souls.

27Those who remember God have a pure and spotless lifestyle.

28Those who remember God experience all sorts of joys.

29Those who remember God abide near the Lord.

30By the Grace of the Saints, one remains awake and aware, night and day.

31O Nanak, this meditative remembrance comes only by perfect destiny. ||6||

32Remembering God, one's works are accomplished.

33Remembering God, one never grieves.

34Remembering God, one speaks the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

35Remembering God, one is absorbed into the state of intuitive ease.

36Remembering God, one attains the unchanging position.

37Remembering God, the heart-lotus blossoms forth.

38Remembering God, the unstruck melody vibrates.

39The peace of the meditative remembrance of God has no end or limitation.

40They alone remember Him, upon whom God bestows His Grace.

41Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of those humble beings. ||7||

42Remembering the Lord, His devotees are famous and radiant.

43Remembering the Lord, the Vedas were composed.

44Remembering the Lord, we become Siddhas, celibates and givers.

45Remembering the Lord, the lowly become known in all four directions.

46For the remembrance of the Lord, the whole world was established.

47Remember, remember in meditation the Lord, the Creator, the Cause of causes.

48For the remembrance of the Lord, He created the whole creation.

49In the remembrance of the Lord, He Himself is Formless.

50By His Grace, He Himself bestows understanding.

51O Nanak, the Gurmukh attains the remembrance of the Lord. ||8||1||
