Sefer HaBahir 77

1[The students asked,] "And what is 'Though angry, may You remember love' (Habakkuk 3:2)?"[Rabby Rachumai] said, "At the time that they sin against you, my child, and you are angry with them, remember love."[They asked,] "But what is 'May You remember compassion'?"[He responded,] "This is as is said, 'I love You, YHVH, my strength [חזקי]' (Psalms 18:2). And You gave to him this trait, which is the Shechinah of Israel and remembered his son, who inherited Her. And You gave to him, as is written, 'YHVH gave wisdom to Solomon' (1 Kings 5:26). He rememberes their father, Abraham, as is written, 'The seed of Abraham, my beloved' (Isaiah 41:8) — 'Within the years, make it known' (Habakkuk 3:2)."
