Sefer HaBahir 71

1[Rabbi Rachumai continued,] "This Habakkuk said, 'I prayed; I know that it was received with delight. I was also delighted, and when I arrived at such-and-such a place, and understood, I heard of Your renown, and I was awed.'* Therefore, 'Renew Your deeds in the midst of years' (Habakkuk 3:2) — in Your uniqueness. A parable to which it can it be compared: to a king — faithful, wonderous, and concealed — who enters his house and commands that none will seek him. Because of this, the one who seeks (him) will be afraid, lest the king will know that he trespassed his [the king's] command. Thus, he says, 'I feared [יראתי].' 'YHVH, revive Your work in the midst of years’ — thus Habakkuk said, 'Since Your Name is thus, and in You is Your Name, ‘Renew Your deeds in the midst of years.’ So may it be forever.”*[Ed. - This is not a direct quotation from the book of Habakkuk.]
