1Drinking it in, one becomes immortal and free of desire.
2The body and mind are cooled and soothed, and the fire is extinguished.
3Such a being is the embodiment of bliss, famous throughout the world. ||2||
4What can I offer You, Lord? Everything belongs to You.
5I am forever a sacrifice to You, hundreds of thousands of times.
6You blessed me, and fashioned my body, mind and soul.
7By Guru's Grace, this lowly being was exalted. ||3||
8Opening the door, You summoned me to the Mansion of Your Presence.
9As You are, so You have revealed Yourself to me.
10Says Nanak, the screen is totally torn away;
11I am Yours, and You are enshrined within my mind. ||4||3||14||
12Raamkalee, Fifth Mehla:
13He has linked His servant to His service.
14The Divine Guru has poured the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, into his mouth.
15He has subdued all his anxiety.
16I am forever a sacrifice to that Guru. ||1||
17The True Guru has perfectly resolved my affairs.
18The True Guru vibrates the unstruck melody of the sound current. ||1||Pause||
19His Glory is profound and unfathomable.
20One whom He blesses with patience becomes blissful.
21One whose bonds are shattered by the Sovereign Lord
22is not cast into the womb of reincarnation again. ||2||
23One who is illuminated by the Lord's radiance within,
24is not touched by pain and sorrow.
25He holds in his robe the gems and jewels.
26That humble being is saved, along with all his generations. ||3||
27He has no doubt, double-mindedness or duality at all.
28He worships and adores the One Immaculate Lord alone.
29Wherever I look, I see the Merciful Lord.
30Says Nanak, I have found God, the source of nectar. ||4||4||15||
31Raamkalee, Fifth Mehla:
32My self-conceit has been eliminated from my body.
33The Will of God is dear to me.
34Whatever He does, seems sweet to my mind.
35And then, these eyes behold the wondrous Lord. ||1||
36Now, I have become wise and my demons are gone.
37My thirst is quenched, and my attachment is dispelled. The Perfect Guru has instructed me. ||1||Pause||
38In His Mercy, the Guru has kept me under His protection.
39The Guru has attached me to the Lord's Feet.
40When the mind is totally held in check,
41one sees the Guru and the Supreme Lord God as one and the same. ||2||
42Whoever You have created, I am his slave.
43My God dwells in all.
44I have no enemies, no adversaries.
45I walk arm in arm, like brothers, with all. ||3||
46One whom the Guru, the Lord, blesses with peace,
47does not suffer in pain any longer.
48He Himself cherishes all.
49Nanak is imbued with the love of the Lord of the World. ||4||5||16||
50Raamkalee, Fifth Mehla:
51You read the scriptures, and the commentaries,
52but the Perfect Lord does not dwell in your heart.
53You preach to others to have faith,
54but you do not practice what you preach. ||1||
55O Pandit, O religious scholar, contemplate the Vedas.
56Eradicate anger from your mind, O Pandit. ||1||Pause||
57You place your stone god before yourself,
