1Meditating in remembrance on the Guru, all the sins are erased.
2Meditating in remembrance on the Guru, one is not strangled by the noose of Death.
3Meditating in remembrance on the Guru, the mind becomes immaculate; the Guru eliminates egotistical pride. ||2||
4The Guru's servant is not consigned to hell.
5The Guru's servant meditates on the Supreme Lord God.
6The Guru's servant joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; the Guru ever gives the life of the soul. ||3||
7At the Gurdwara, the Guru's Gate, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung.
8Meeting with the True Guru, one chants the Lord's Praises.
9The True Guru eradicates sorrow and suffering, and bestows honor in the Court of the Lord. ||4||
10The Guru has revealed the inaccessible and unfathomable Lord.
11The True Guru returns to the Path, those who have wandered away.
12No obstacles stand in the way of devotion to the Lord, for one who serves the Guru. The Guru implants perfect spiritual wisdom. ||5||
13The Guru has revealed the Lord everywhere.
14The Lord of the Universe is permeating and pervading the water and the land.
15The high and the low are all the same to Him. Focus your mind's meditation intuitively on Him. ||6||
16Meeting with the Guru, all thirst is quenched.
17Meeting with the Guru, one is not watched by Maya.
18The Perfect Guru bestows truth and contentment; I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||7||
19The Word of the Guru's Bani is contained in all.
20He Himself hears it, and He Himself repeats it.
21Those who meditate on it, are all emancipated; they attain the eternal and unchanging home. ||8||
22The Glory of the True Guru is known only to the True Guru.
23Whatever He does, is according to the Pleasure of His Will.
24Your humble servants beg for the dust of the feet of the Holy; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to You. ||9||1||4||

26One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
27The Primal, Immaculate Lord God is formless.
28The Detached Lord is Himself prevailing in all.
29He has no race or social class, no identifying mark. By the Hukam of His Will, He created the entire universe. ||1||
30Out of all the 8.4 million species of beings,
31God blessed mankind with glory.
32That human who misses this chance, shall suffer the pains of coming and going in reincarnation. ||2||
33What should I say, to one who has been created.
34The Gurmukh receives the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
35He alone is confused, whom the Lord Himself confuses. He alone understands, whom the Lord inspires to understand. ||3||
36This body has been made the village of joy and sorrow.
37They alone are emancipated, who seek the Sanctuary of the True Guru.
38One who remains untouched by the three qualities, the three gunas - such a Gurmukh is blessed with glory. ||4||
39You can do anything, but whatever you do, only serves to tie your feet.
40The seed which is planted out of season does not sprout, and all one's capital and profits are lost. ||5||
41In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are most sublime and exalted.
42Become Gurmukh, chant and focus your meditation.
