1[The students asked,] "And why is it that chirik is of the language of burning?" [He responded,] "Because it is a fire that burns all fires, as is written, 'And the fire of YHVH descended and consumed the offering, the wood, the stone, and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.' (1 Kings 18:38)."
