1His [Mar Rachumai's] students asked him, “What is Dalet?” He said to them, "To what can this be compared? To ten kings that were in the same place. Though all of them were rich, one of them was not as wealthy as the others. Even though he was very wealthy, he is called poor [dal] in relation to the wealthy ones.
