Sefer HaBahir 22

1[Rabbi Levitas ben Tavrus continued,] "And all agree that [the angels] were not created on the first day, lest people might say, 'Michael drew out the south of Heaven, Gabriel [drew out] the north, and the Blessed Holy One is the one who made order in the middle. Rather, I am YHVH, who makes everything, Who stretches out the heavens by myself, who spreads out the land, unaided [מאתי]' (Isaiah 44:24). It is written [as] ‘who is with me’ [מי אתי]. [To say,] 'I am He that planted this tree so that all of the world would delight in it. I laid everything in it, and I called its name 'all,' because everything depends upon it, everything comes out from it, everything needs it, to it everything looks, for it they wait, and, from there, souls fly in joy. I was by myself when I did this. An angel will not be aggrandized on it to say, 'I was before you,' because at the time that I laid out the earth, and planted and rooted this tree in her, I rejoiced together, and I rejoiced in them. Who was with Me [מי אתי] that I revealed to him my secret?'"
