1Rabbi Nechunia ben Hakana said, "One verse states, 'And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies,' (Job 37:21). Another verse states, 'He made darkness His hiding-place' (Psalms 18:12). And it says, 'Clouds and darkness surround Him' (Psalms 97:2). This is a difficulty. A third scripture reconciles them: 'Even the darkness is not too dark for You, But the night shines as the day; the darkness is as the light' (Psalms 139:12)."
