1Uwu ndi uthenga umene mneneri Yeremiya anawuza Baruki mwana wa Neriya mʼchaka cha chinayi cha Yehoyakimu mwana wa mwana ya Yosiya kuti alembe mʼbuku.
2“Yehova Mulungu wa Israeli, akunena kwa iwe Baruki kuti:
3Iwe unati, ‘Kalanga ine! Yehova wawonjezera chisoni pa mavuto anga. Ine ndatopa ndi kubuwula ndipo sindikupeza mpumulo.’ ”
4Koma Yehova akukuwuza kuti, “Ndidzagwetsa chimene ndinamanga ndipo ndidzazula chimene ndinadzala. Ndidzachita zimenezi mʼdziko lonse.
5Kodi tsono ukudzifunira wekha zinthu zazikulu? Usadzifunire. Pakuti ndidzagwetsa mavuto pa anthu onse, koma ndidzasunga moyo wako kulikonse kumene ungadzapite.”
